Sakis Part I

At lv36 Sakis with his team, Two Headed Eagle (it’s PAOK Thessaloniki actually), have won his League and played in a +1 lv CH.L. next season. At that period, that was the pattern. The League winner is playing vs 2-3-4th League positions of a +1 lv.


But later, this changed.
At lv 42, Sakis renamed his name to Vechia Signora (Juventus actually, which has the same colors of PAOK).
He won the lv41 League but now he played in a -1 lv CH.L.
. Here vs a team which finished 2nd in his league.





At lv 43, Sakis won again the League and played again in a -1 lv CH.L.. He won it, playing vs a lv42 manager in the final.







At lv 44 (this season) Sakis (won the [revious League and CH.L.) is playing again in a -1 lv CH.L. . All his group opponents are from LV43. None of them won the League or the CH.L.






The name of his team now is Eagles Salonica and he is using the kit of Benfica.

Sakis Part II


Profile
It’s a wealthy team, a token buyer who got the Benefit achievement (buying with money an official jersey and sending it to a friend), as the Stubborn ach. (the goat head, bidding over 50 rounds for a player) among others.



From his trophy room we can see that almost every season he wins t, the League, almost all the CH.L. and many cups.


His squad when finishing the season was two (early) 8* players, seven 7* players and five 1* players.
Yesterday he bought some players to complete his roster (the between 5* players have no stats).




This is the classic method to have a logic lv teams in the Cup.

I also used this but didn’t help me for the next season CH.L.

So in those two cases (of my team ManUtd and Sakis) doesn’t fit any explanation of the “official answer”.

The weird thing is that not any unofficial explanation fits.

For example , a logic one could be
“ok , you are a token buyer, you spend tokens and packs so we ‘ll put you in a +1 lv CH.L. to spend some more”. It’s not Sakis case.
Or
“ok, you are a token buyer, you spend tokens and packs so we “protect” your team from playing in a lv above”. My team NIK also bought tokens , has the Benefit and Stubborn achievements but it’s always in a +1 lv CH.L.
The same is happening with ManU and RINOKEROS which never bought tokens.
I really can’t imagine what other factor affects to be the chosen one.

No, it’s not that case. Please read #133. My team finished with 6* players and started the new season with avg 4* team. At lv 6, still played in a level above. So it isn’t the quality or the level.
So, the official answer saying that “it heavily depended on the performance they have shown in recent matches and previous CH.L.”. We can translate this as “that a strong team with high q which had a successful previous season in CH.L. – won it or something like this, next season will have an extra challenge playing in a higher lv CHL.L.” .
Let’s see if it works that way.
It’s good that my teams have a lot of friends so I can follow the story of them , keeping some records too.
Now we ‘ll talk about Sakis.
I already mentioned about him in a pervious post so I ‘ll repeat this, adding a fresh one.

Ι keep the same team. 11-13 7* players some 6*.
I do not fix cup so I have at the beginning full squad and very few 1-2*

So I am a good example of same quality but with different performance

season 19: chl winner
season 20: draw with +1, chl winner
season 21: draw with +1, no free time relaxed season, I screwed chl in round 16
season 22: draw with +1 (WUT?? WHY? I said I scrwed last year's chl), semi-finals in chl
season 23: same level (WUT? is round16 better than semifinals?), won chl
season 24: current, draw with +1

Maybe if you are winner/finalist of chl, you have many chances to draw +1
But it is not only that because when I ended 4th in league, round16 in chl, I drew again with +1

I think, there's no connection between quality or trophies of previous season and the CL-draw. The reason for that is simple:
the account of my wife won lost season nothing! She lost at cup at 2.round, she was 3.place at league and lost CL-final. The quality at the end was ~105% and she is this season (again) in a +1 CL.
The problem on that: she's now 85%, has direct after server reset a 102% (+1 L), 110% (+ 1L) and a 122% (+1 L). So you see the answer, what was posted in #136 is just a downright lie.
Current quality: my wife 95%, opponents 107%, 112% and 125%.

My wife quitted, I train them only in the morning - so I think, she doesn't win anything in this group.

I understand for CUP and somehow for League but in Champions League is to much especially knowing that most of the teams are active ones, playing against higher level gives you really low chances to win a competition as CL especially if you are in the range of 4-6 stars.

I've been in several different +1 level Champions League throughout my career as a top eleven manager, with the first one occurring back in level 22.

The format of the higher level Champions Leagues has not been consistant! Some seasons its only a handful of managers playing down a level, others its a handful of managers playing up a level. Generally speaking, it has been the league winners bumped up a level, drawing those teams that finished either 2nd, 3rd or 4th in their respective leagues. This season the format is different in my CL, as I'm one of three managers bumped up one level, but the only one the group that won a 1st place trophy last season.

This season one of the managers that has been pulled up with me was in my league last season, and due to tanking didn't play in either the CL or SL last season. Are high quality teams with a history of not promoting being targeted for the call-up, as a means of deterring tanking? All three of the 7* teams that are playing up one level in my current CL, all tanked recently (including me). Due to tanking for the benefit of associations, is it plausible the nordeus is pulling higher quality teams up a level in an attempt to prevent the CL from being unbalanced due to tankers exploiting the direct qualification to the CL by winning the previous season CL/SL? I'm assuming some of you have seen teams tanking to build a superteam for associations, while still playing in the Champions League, due to winning the CL the season before!

This season I'm in the strongest ChL draw ever.
Tankers, loan exploiters, token buyers, you have everything there...

It's like the mix of the best teams from level 16 with a handful of strongest teams from lvl 15.

And my last season record is... 2nd in the league, round 32 ChL and round 16 Cup

I will go for Nivea Cup as the ChL is just unwinnable...
