The team I play next in league is playing a 5-3N-2 formation. Instead of my 4-1-3-1-1 (or 4-1-3-2), I've changed to a 3-2-2W-1-2. With the opponent utilizing 5 defenders and 3 MCs, I will likely need the extra numbers forward to score goals. I'll be expecting a rather large margin of victory, as my average quality is 21.5* compared to his 13.8*.

On a side note, is there any way to set a "default" formation? A way to easily revert back to my 4-1-3-1-1 lineup?
Well, I can't say that the lineup change truly worked. Won by a score of 3-0 . . . OF COURSE I also came away with TWO MORE INJURIES!!! That now gives me a total of FIVE players currently injured. WTF

I love this chart and I consult it daily. It generally always helps me out. But today I don't see a fairly common formation. A simple "4-1-2-1-2 Wide Diamond"

Does anyone have any insights how best to counter this formation? I usually run a 4-5-1V and it works against most, but I want to know if there is something else that might be better.

    Thanks!

I think with the wide diamond, a wide defensive line (to account for wide mids) and narrow midfield (alllows you to possess the ball in the middle of the field) work well to counter. 4-1-3-2 maybe with 3 MCs. Or a 4-2(DMC)-2(MC)-2

    Thanks dkb2005,

I went with the same 4-5-1V and it is working well.

My oponent plays 433 with miedfielders playing throught the center. I saw here that best counter formation is 4141.
Why an 352 (with 3 central defenders) attacking throught wings isn't a best counter tactic?

Sorry my english and thanks in advance.
