A stupid question. How can I counter the 4-1(MC)-2N(AMC/AMC)-3ST formation?

Or replace one of the ST's with a DMC, place a blue arrow on one of your MC's and red ones on your more attacking MC.

In 1 hour, i'll play against a 3N - 3MC - 2 AM L/R - 2ST (total average = 135.5 )
I thought to play a 4N (with red arrows in the flanks) - 1 DMC (red arrows) - 4 Mid - 1 ST with def tactic, forced conter, mixed passes to the flank (i have an average 136.4)

today i have to beat a 4-3W-1-2 and found the counter 4-1-4-1 at this forum
for tactics I selected:
mentality: defensive
focus passing. through the middle
pressing style : whole opitch
tackling style: normal
passing style: short
force counterattacks: x
play offsied trap: x
could this be the right way against a strong opponent???

Well, your opponent's using 2 AMC, so your DMC will really need all the help he can get. Which means a blue arrow on at least one of yor MC's, maybe even both. This is the main thing, other than attacking the flanks (he's fielding only DC's).Quote:

I played 4-2(DMC)-3(W)-1 with my friend and lost 1-0 in the second half. My friend Q is 22 and my Q is 19. So I think whether we can play with this formation to counter 4-1-2(AMC/AMC)-1 or not?Quote:

With Troll F.C. I simulated the 4-3-2W-1 with a motivated 4-5-1 against a slightly stronger 4-5-1 V-style and lost 1-3 at home, so that did not work. I will try one of the counter formations in the returning leg, but chances are sadly slim to reach the cup final. :(

I'm up against a 3N-1-3N-1-2 today, which some might call an "illegal" formation, and I agree, but this guy is trashing everything in the league so far (level 24) except me and a few others. I am currently places 2nd in the League, while he is still 1st. Note that his team quality is around 140 and mine is around 130 (He's buying Tokens as all of his first 11 players are 6 starts or above). I know I 'm supposed to expose his lack of wingers and attack the flanks, but I'm kind of scared of attacking such a strong opponent. I haven't changed my formation much, only my tactics (I don't have much options about the formation since my first 11 are way better than my substitutes). My formation is 4-1(DMC with blue arrow)-2-2-1, with the AML and AMC (don't have a AMR).

Unbeliveable lol..The result was 1:1, but check this out; I had 80% Possession, 15(6) shots, miserable shot efficiency etc.. I really raped him and still he managed to get a draw and from one of his 3 chances he scored a goal.. Hi everyone.
I need some advice. I usually play 4-5-1V red arrows on AML/R, normal, wings, mixed, counter on. I play against another 4-5-1V. We are both similar quality as I'm 34 and he is 32 more or less.
The thing is last time I played against him, he beat me 4-0 on league, we faced CL and I won 0-2 and 0-0. Im asking if 3W-3N-2(AML/AMR)-2 is better to counter than 4-1(MC)-2(AMC)-3 or should I keep my 4-5-1V?
