I don't think this will happen, skill points are not coming back. Actually, this "extra progress" the Man of the Match gains is already being assigned to the area you selected, like any other progress generated from the Training. Just select which area do you want (or Special Ability, or new Role), and the increase will go there.

After new training feature was introduced you cannot select area.
Attributes are inceased depending on the drill you selected.

So MoM and skill point just adds 4% randomly to a player to his key attributes

Correct me if I am wrong
