Can't stand 'Tankers' - its cheating and should be discouraged

Yes, why are you even trying to justify screwing over other people by intentionally injuring their players. Fun for you, not for them. I think tanking is wrong because its a cheap way of winning. If you wanna win, do it the right way, dont cheat the system. I'm not trying to be all self righteous, I just dont like the idea of cheating the system like that. Doesn't make sense that people should benefit from losing.

None of these managers would have jobs anywhere in football if they spent 2 out of every 3 seasons trying to lose.

Nordeus doesn't give to craps about anything so they wouldn't do this. If there was a token buying server and a non token buying server, why would anyone in their right mind go into the token buying one?? Everyone would be in the non token buying one because no one has an advantage in that server. I wish nordeus would do something like what you just suggested, but they won't. Tokens are how they get money, and they'd make a lot less if they did that. And tanking actually wasn't meant to be part of the game. Its just people who are unable to face the prospect of not getting into the top 4 or finishing first giving up and losing on purpose so they can have a better chance next time, which is low and a cheap way of winning.

Well I'll be a chipmonk ... neojihad has said something I almost agree with.

Almost loving the idea of splitting the servers into token buyers and non token buyers. Also another split for players who have access to videos, surveys etc. This balances things up nicely.

Only problem I have with this, and I admit my right mind state is sometimes questionable, is that I would want to be put in with the token buyers.

At least I know token buyers are wanting to win, not lose, the matches they play. They've put money into it so they must be up for the rather small challenge of not trying to lose.
I would rather put myself up against the (big boys) and fail, than to have to play against tankers trying to lose day in day out.

Also the tanker mentality would remain in the non-token buyer leagues, there can only be a few winners every season and really the losing habit is hard to break for the tankers.

So I second or third this idea, just as long as I can go play with the token buyers, and get away from the depressing matches against the tankers.

Where have you seen the option to donate? And be honest, how much do you think they make from donations? I complain about tankers because its a cheap way of winning. You can't deny that. If this was real life you'd get kicked out of whatever competition you were in. It ruins the spirit of the game when people lose on purpose.

If we're gonna have to count on nordeus to fix this issue, I'm pretty sure we're out of luck. Tanking isn't cheating, but its cheap and takes some of the fin out of the game.

Right way? Right way is to pay to Nordeus? You never cheated any system?
He dont benefit, he will be level 10 in season 25th for exemple and you will be 25 level in 25th season, thats your "success"

I DONT WANT TO PAY, I buy like 30 or 50 tokens every season for 2,5$ or 3,5$ because I do like game. Not above that. Like you said in other post, dont cheat system, why not? I never bought any game or movie, I download it from pirate bay or similair, I live in same country that Nordeus is from, Serbia, average pay here is 300$, you think I will spend 50-100$ on this game alone? NO, real money take win out of game

Okay - So here it is, the crème de la crème ... If nobody bought Tokens we wouldn't have a game, and if by some chance Nordeus could still put 'Top Eleven' out there by generating revenue from advertising/traffic etc alone we would all be out of pocket because 'Top Eleven' would cost. I would say around £6.99 (similar to FM14). So you may not like token buyers but lets be honest we can't moan about them and we certainly cannot call them "cheats" because it is them who allow us to play for free.

oh this is a Big NO, if Nordeus want, they can fix this. their tech staff isn't that stupid. it's just that they still have many issues to fix. and they already start to fix match fixtures, and friendly match issue. i really really appreciate them :D

Holy **** people I'm not telling you to spend money I'm saying taking is wrong. You can win without spending any money, thats what I did.. Only bought my first scouts last season and look at my signature. I've done great without spending a dime or tanking.

I'm saying people should play the game the way it was meant to be played. Nordeus meant for people to spend money if they wanted to. They didn't mean for people to tank. It takes away from the games competitiveness, and it sucks that they're being rewarded for losing. But let's just stop arguing about this because it isn't helping anyone.

Wonder if any tankers out there can debate their argument, and feel secure enough with it as to leave their views open to question.

Making a statement, which is of complete irrelevance, and then running away does not add or strengthen any misguided case of being right tankers may feel they have.

Tanking is permited for Nordeus, so in terms of internas rules cant be considered cheating.
I agree that it could be considered cheating If there where real prizes involved, but this only to kill free time, it not to take to serious.

I only considered cheating, people that have more then one Team in same league, and manipulate the results, or create sub accounts just to have false suport, winning more possession.

The way I see it... If you have a weak team which some 35T players will do OR having a poor season in the league without any real hope of getting in next seasons CL. Then the best option is to tank since your not really giving much up in doing so since you've pretty much 'lost' already, You may as well forfeit promotion and retain your players stars for a better chance the for the following seasons.

Also situations in your server may also cause you to think about tanking for a while. Such as the 3* or 4* transfer market or being at the top of your server and having to play against a lot of heavy token buyers each season in which your probably going to lose there as well.

The main reason many players tank in this game is not to lose on purpose but to improve their playing experience in this game in the future. I've been tanking on Capelli Tigers for 2 seasons because of these reasons of being near the top of the server as well as not being drawn in the same league alongside a friend.

The same counts in Top eleven, tere are players with lost of real money that buy tokens to improve there squad and there are players that cant afford or simply choose not to buy tokens. (See the resemblance there)
Tanking on the other hand is a player intentionally losing/throwing matches in order to rig competition draws and have a better chance of winning the next year. In REAL football if a team was to tank (Intentionally lose matches/throw matches) it WOULD be cheating and would result in major fines and even a team being thrown out of the league. (See the resemblance there)

Therefore token buying is obviously not cheating - It is a feature programmed into the game by the developers.

Tanking is cheating and apart from it being cheating it is unethical as Top Eleven is all about competition and who wants to play against teams that throw matches? Tankers are also known to tank in order to get easier cup draws. Your argument is flawed.

nobody blame you if you really have a poor team. but the probleme is some people can finish 2nd 3rd, even 1st but he decide to tank in the 1st week. What the hell it is.
i don't see any problem if you tanking for the league.

Personally I would tank a season if I felt CL qualification was out of the question. But until that stage I have no intention of ever tanking. Some may look down on it, but if I cant finish top 4 one season, the next I wont stand a chance and so on. And its not that fun competing for 5th 6th and 7th.

losing to win is the same as paying to win. one takes time,the other take money. for those of us who dont pay to play this game, tanking is the only way to compete if you dont farm tokens. for July 4th to put a post to teach people how to do it shows that it is not cheating as well as it not being banned by nordeus.

you want to play against other managers who want to win? good for you. then email nordeus support and tell them to delete all the non active accounts first. then tell them to not allow illegal formations to prvent tanking.

Look the flaw in yoru arguement is your hyprocracy. you only go after tankers and not token buyers who manipulate the game as well. also this game is not a race, as you dont have to get promoted to be successful. just because you dont watn to be promoted and to stay at a level does not mean you dont have a winning mentality. I will lose next season so i can win the next. I want to win, but realize that i cannot with the current team until they get stronger and i will not spend tokens to do that.

How is it manipulating the game when its part of the game and the tokens are there for you to buy? What you guys mean is, tanking and buying tokens are both the same in that you give your team a better chance to win. The difference is, by tanking you're cheating the system. Not cheating, but cheating the system.

When my view is that every player should play the game wanting to win ... and that's a pretty simple, basic view, I don't feel any need to feel sympathy to "the other side" the other side that want to lose.

So if wanting to win, not lose, makes me stupid, as you point out, then I'm in some pretty good company and that's everyone else who plays sport at any level. Winning is what normal people aim for. Not losing.

If you get a kick out of rolling over and having your tummy tickled every match then great for you, people have perverse fetishes in life.
But when your perversion for wanting to be a loser affects others, normal people, players who come here to win, wanting to beat other normal people, people also wanting to win, then your perversion becomes a problem.
