Ιt has nothing to do with grey skill, only with low skills.
If you have grey skill along with white on a drill the white skills gaining 2 to 1.
The new training system has a cap per drill. The cap its not on individual skill
but is on the sum of the drills. So if a drill trains 3 skills the cap is 3x180=540...etc...
You can train a player with this drill until the sum of skills reach this number..
If you reach the number you wont gain anything after that
no matter how much you train your player.
The higher the number of the skills you train the harder you gain them.
The most efficient way to train is to have 1-2 skill under 70-80a or even lower in each drill you train.

A training I did an hour ago, in two of my players.
An attacker with high white-attacking skills
Training mini guide and tips - The day after-3-train-2-sev.jpg

and a defender with high white-defending skills
Training mini guide and tips - The day after-3-train-2-col.jpg

In the first set, both players earned good skill points
Colovati earned totally 15% skills in 3 sets, which is an amazing score for a 114% player.
Of course it was mostly in his grey skills but improved his general quality.

Give Colovati fast counter attack and watch him fly to 7 stars. My DC Allan still making good gains.

Guys i think we must focus on how a 7* star player behave on pitch when his stats are almost equal
and how when his white skills are significant higher than grey skills.
This would be very interesting and i am not talking about mutants.
    For example:

Will Hopkinson be better as he should compered with Dichev?

First I 'll put here a mini calendar/review of TE development.
Back at the end of 2015 the new version of TE has come.
A jump from flash to unity, necessary for 2D live animations.
The new version had a different way of training but for the next months we could train out players with any version we would like
    March of 2016
    https://forum.topeleven.com/tutorial...-training.html
Almost one year later, April of 2017 I think, the old version gone forever.

At 2016, we were trying to understand how the new training system was working
    https://forum.topeleven.com/tutorial...ng-system.html

Meanwhile at June of 2016 associations started.
We saw with big surprise that the top100 list was full of Chinese and Vietnamese 8*-9* teams.
They used vpn to have access in US/UK IPs and farm 70-100 greens every day.
After that, nordeus reduced the limit of daily farming greens to 50 and little later to 25.

A characteristic of the new training was that there wasn't a limit of development in individual skills.
With the old version, there was a limit of 20 quality points in the three categories.
You could save skill points (the cones) but you couldn't added to Attack for example, if it was +20 qp from defense.

As we wonder those months what is the role of individual skills (now without the limits), some managers figured out that there was a hole in the system and the game engine favored a lot players with very high white skills and 1% grey skills.
The new mutants - Cheating or exploit ?
    https://forum.topeleven.com/top-elev...-cheating.html

Another characteristic of the asso games was that we could loan players to the other members of our group and the trained them with their greens.
Soon that worked as exploit because many people created new fake accounts with +150 greens and tokens, trained the players of main account and return them back to mother.
    https://forum.topeleven.com/associat...ber-loans.html
Many months past before TE decided to remove the loans option.

The effect of "mutation" in skills was obvious also to mediocre players someone could find.
    https://forum.topeleven.com/top-elev...layers%3B.html

Later on, the summer of 2017 we saw the first super mutants, with +1000% in fitness and strength.
    https://forum.topeleven.com/top-elev...ordeus%5D.html
The managers were using the GK training trick (where you could train for many times your field player with the GK drill, he earned nothing and later on with a last drill could get a massive amount in 2-3 skills only)

Few months later, there was a response from TE saying that only there was a limit of 340% for one skill .
    https://forum.topeleven.com/top-elev...ibute-cap.html

Then an update for training - not using only one type of drill (April of 2018)
    https://forum.topeleven.com/top-elev...-training.html

and finally the end of GK trick as the limit of 180% avg quality
    https://forum.topeleven.com/top-elev...g-changes.html

ok, the last one wasn't so accurate
    https://forum.topeleven.com/top-elev...-november.html
With the new TE 2018 and some updates later, there was a small but critical change.
The friendly games now were giving +4% skills in the man of the match (in white areas).
So another playground for the exploiters who found that about April of 2018.
    https://forum.topeleven.com/top-elev...w-exploid.html
A player could be over 180% (200%) and 12 or more hidden stars.
Also an individual skill could be trained for 400% or more.

At October of 2018, friendlies stopped giving those skills for motm.

The thing is that with a permanent tanking, the mutants of 340-1% skills were here to stay (for many more months)
    https://forum.topeleven.com/top-elev...ed-2020-a.html

But is there a possibility that the behavior of mutants / semi-mutants- / "well trained" players (with 20%-200% in grey/white skills) have changed by some tweaking in programming ?

He should be. Even if we assume that Dichev is an exceptionally programmed player (means he has a higher value for talent, which must be a hidden value, otherwise we would not have players who score/assist more than others or have better ratings), Hopkinson with his skills has to be the more impactful player (at least should not perform worse than Dichev). If not, it would be the proof that Nordeus did change something.

Just wanted to share my new DC I trained on my second club. Started at 31% (unfortunately didn't take a picture then), pic 1 is after 200 rests, pic 2 after about 380 where I just stopped for now. I think he developed pretty well. Also most of my training drills are only level 1 or 2 as this account is just manager level 5. I think with maximum training levels you can get better results in terms of rests needed.

    pic 2 after about 380

    too many greens.
Not sure if it's worthy to buy and invest in such a low q player
    * as there is some doubt about the advantage of white skills lately.
